Data Deletion Policy

This page explains how to request deletion of Social Monkey account data, workspace data, AI memory, uploaded media, and data received from connected platforms.

Effective date: July 7, 2026

1. How To Request Deletion

To request deletion of your Social Monkey account data, workspace data, connected platform data, AI memory, or uploaded media, email info@socialmonkeyai.com with the subject line "Social Monkey Data Deletion Request."

Include the email address used for your Social Monkey account and, if relevant, the business workspace, connected page, connected profile, inbox, location, or channel you want removed. We may ask you to verify your identity or account ownership before completing the request.

2. What We Delete

When a verified deletion request is approved, we will delete or de-identify Social Monkey records such as:

  • Account and workspace records tied to your Social Monkey account, such as profile settings, business settings, saved preferences, calendars, drafts, ideas, media metadata, customer notes, and workflow history.
  • Connected platform records stored by Social Monkey, such as connected account labels, page IDs, board IDs, location IDs, channel IDs, synced inbox rows, publishing history, approval records, platform-derived metadata, and OAuth connection records.
  • Uploaded media files stored in Social Monkey cloud storage, unless we must retain a limited copy for security, abuse prevention, legal, payment, dispute, or backup reasons.
  • AI workspace records tied to your account, such as prompts, chat messages, generated drafts, learned memory cards, hunches, skills, and summaries stored in Social Monkey.

3. Connected Platform Data

If you connected Pinterest, Meta, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Google, Google Business Profile, Gmail, YouTube, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Graph, or another supported platform, you may also remove Social Monkey's access from that platform's own account, business integration, security, or app permissions settings.

Removing access at the platform stops future API access after the platform processes the revocation. Where technically available, Social Monkey removes or invalidates stored OAuth tokens for a disconnected account. Platform revocation may not automatically delete data already stored in Social Monkey, so please email us if you also want stored Social Monkey records deleted or de-identified.

Stored platform-derived records can include Pinterest board or Pin records, Meta/Facebook/Instagram Page or post records, LinkedIn or TikTok publishing metadata, Google Business Profile or YouTube publishing records, Gmail or Outlook message metadata, and related connection, approval, sync, or error records.

4. Published, Sent, or Third-Party Content

Social Monkey can delete data stored in Social Monkey systems, but content that has already been published, sent, exported, or copied to a third-party service may need to be removed directly from that service. For example, Pins published to Pinterest, posts published to Meta, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, or Google Business Profile, emails sent through Gmail or Microsoft Outlook, or data retained by a connected provider may remain subject to that provider's tools, settings, and policies.

5. Browser and Device Data

Some temporary drafts, preferences, service worker cache entries, or session values may be stored in your browser or device. You can clear that data through your browser's site data, cache, and cookie controls. If you installed Social Monkey as a home-screen web app, you may also remove the web app from your device.

6. What May Be Retained

We may retain limited data when required or permitted for legitimate operational, legal, security, or compliance reasons, including:

  • Records we need for security, fraud prevention, abuse investigation, payment, tax, accounting, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or enforcement of our Terms.
  • Limited logs, backups, and audit records that are removed on normal provider and operational schedules.
  • Content already published or sent to a third-party platform, email recipient, or connected service. You may need to delete that content directly from the third-party service.
  • Data controlled by a third-party platform, such as Pinterest, Meta, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Google, Gmail, YouTube, Google Business Profile, Microsoft Outlook, or Microsoft Graph, under that platform's own account settings and policies.

7. Timing

We try to acknowledge deletion requests within a reasonable time after receiving them. Verified deletion requests are generally completed within 30 days unless the request is complex, we need more information, or retention is required or permitted for legal, security, fraud prevention, dispute, payment, or backup reasons.

8. Team and Business Workspaces

If your account is part of a business or team workspace, deleting your user account may not automatically delete workspace records owned by the business. A workspace owner or authorized admin may need to request deletion of business-level data.

9. Privacy Policy

More information about what Social Monkey collects, how it is used, and how connected platform data is handled is available in our Privacy Policy.
